I think you have no business acting…in front of a camera. No one wants to catch you acting. It’s disagreeable, peoples toes curl when they catch you acting.

Secrets are really big with actors, it’s good to have secrets. You can tell the director a lot of things, you can always communicate with the other actors about stuff but it’s always good to hold back secrets and to have things that are inside you, that only means something to you. You share emotions and feelings and you give to other actors and that’s the best way to be, but there are secrets that you can keep.

You realise that some of the things that you are feeling as a person, they can be used for something. For something bigger than yourself…you can express yourself but through someone else’s words. I suppose that kind of thing struck me very strongly.

I made my own (Bat-Suit). I used to watch Adam West, and my mother had this wide Sixties belt and I stuck cigarette packets to it and then painted it yellow, as a utility belt.

I was 27 at the time.

…it’s not easy, it’s not easy like winning a lottery ticket…It’s work, it’s fortunate, you’re fortunate to experience any of it, and it’s beautiful when it begins and it’s beautiful when it ends, too.

It’s strange; it’s not anything I ever imagined happening to me. Maybe some people planned for it and it’s like their ambition to be famous but I just always enjoyed working.
