It saddens me that TDKR will probably not gross as much as Transformers 3.
It’s not all about Revenue, I know, and anything over $1 Billion is pretty good going, but it’s just a shame that a film I know is shit, having not even seen it, has made more money than a film that, although not perfect, is still one of the best Superhero films of all time and a fitting end to an amazing trilogy.
A load of robots hitting each other amidst gratuitous shots of an typically attractive woman’s arse, as she is saved by a man (naturally), or an intelligent blockbuster with an amazing cast, a great script, one of the greatest living directors and 2 strong female leads. I know which one makes more sense…
I won’t let it dampen my faith in cinema audiences, but it’s a shame.
We move forward.
Transformers 4 is on the way but I, part of a minority certainly, will not be watching it.
